Generation 3: Part 8. We are Family

Ever since Felipe had broken up with his wife Kim, he and Emma couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. They were making out everywhere they went, not caring about anyone around them. They were in love and everybody could see it.

And more than one time they felt a sudden desire they shouldn’t be fulfilling in public. But well, that’s love.

Was that love, too? One morning Emma got up really early, because she felt some growling in her stomach. For the past few days she had felt sick every now and then and she wondered where that came from. Apparently it wasn’t coming from eating too much or eating the wrong things – she was pregnant and about to start a family with her Felipe.

She wasn’t too sure if he was going to be happy about this, but luckily he was. His ex-wife Kim had just given birth to a little girl she had named Tamera and had told him he would never be allowed to see her. Now it was his second chance to be a father.

Despite all the hate they had to tell Kim about this. She was supposed to know that Felipe and Emma were expecting a baby, as her little daughter was going to have a half-sister or brother. She wasn’t too thrilled about this.

The pregnancy just rushed by! One day they were shopping for supplies and the next Emma could feel her little child kicking, waiting to enter the world. Then it was time – she went into labor! The pain was so hard she couldn’t think straight and so she decided to go into the hospital instead of giving birth here at home. Was it normal to be in pain that much when you were giving birth to your first child?

Apparently it only was when you were giving birth to twins! Welcome to the world, Freya and Finn! (Picture couldn't be uploaded for some reason I don't understand..)

Now that their babies were born, it was time to take the next step. Emma didn’t just want a relationship with Felipe, she wanted to be his wife and stay with him forever. So when she was over at his house the next time, she asked him a question that was supposed to change their lives.
Marry me?

And why lose time when you could get married straight away? There were not many people Emma and Felipe would have wanted to witness when they were saying yes to each other, so they decided to just get married there and then. And although it was in his living room and they weren’t in their formal wear, it was a very romantic moment.
I now declare you husband and wife!

You may kiss the bride now.

So this is Felipe in a close-up. I swear, he looked younger in game. He is a few days younger than Emma (due to putting him into CAS to take a picture for you) and his lifetime wish is to max three skills.

Way too soon it was time for the twins’ first birthday. Aren’t they just the cutest things you have ever seen? Freya has her dad's hair, Finn has Emma’s. Both of them have Emma’s eye color. I love them!

Author's notes: Whee, babies! I don't think I had mixed twins ever, it always was just two boys or two girls. They are so cute, I want to take and keep them...! Anyway, now Emma has a real family, which is something I am really happy about. And I didn't even take her free day to do that, she wished for Felipe herself. This is just great. I will wait until the kids have aged up before I put on an heir vote. Obviously I can't decide between them on my own!
Chapter title: Song by Sister('s?) Sledge. :)

Generation 3: Part 7. Maneater

I feel like this town is the only place in the world where the sun always shines. I love it.
Whatever.

No, really! Every day when I wake up the sun is there to greet me. It is so beautiful here.
Will she ever stop talking…?

You can stop acting now, really! Everybody knows you’re the new girl and just are trying to make friends. Let me tell you – I won’t be one of them! I don’t like girly-girls and I would kill myself if I ever became like that!
Jeez, what’s her deal?! I am just trying to be nice and talk about the town I started a new life in for the second time and she is just as much a bitch as she was in my second life. Maybe she does remember that I've been here before...

You see, this place is just great (same pep talk as before, new person). The sun always shines and there are trees and lakes everywhere! Isn’t that just awesome? It could make you want to stay here forever.
That’s exactly what I keep saying. I am so glad I moved here when I was a little younger – this is the place where you would want to spend the rest of your life in. The people are great, too. Most of them. There are some you wouldn’t want to meet at night in the dark though.
(Thinks: )Why didn’t I recognize you in my last life? You are awesome! You love the nature and you’re a really good person, just like me.

(Thinks: ) Oh, crap. Married. I just keep standing here, smiling nicely and stop myself from trying to kill that woman for giving him flowers in front of me.

Must. Lose. Weight. Must. Look. Pretty. No matter how much it hurts. On second thought….ouch!

(Thinks: )Huh, that guy is nice, too. He has a sweet smile. Where did all the cute guys come from now?
Oh, hey. You are new around here, right? I’ve never seen you around before.
Yes, that’s right, I just moved here with my three dogs, one cat and one horse.
So you are an animal person then?! I like that. Animals are the best friends you could possibly have. You must be a very lucky person.

You probably only eat vegetables, huh? To keep your body like that?
No, actually I eat whatever is in the house. I’m not that much of a gourmet…

Later, at home:
You really impressed me with what you were saying. Seriously. What did you say your sign was? Just being curious to see if I’m right…
I’m a [insert sign here]. I’m sorry, did you just say “Score!” ?
What, me? No. I just said…I didn’t say anything. That’s funny, I thought you could be [insert sign again], they are really friendly people. And match my sign, which is [insert her sign here], isn’t that funny? No idea why I remembered that…

A little later, after Felipe (that’s the guy) fed Dominica and cuddled with the dogs
My pets like you…that must be a good sign.
You think? Well, I really hope so, because I want you to like me, too. You are really beautiful and although I have just met you I feel like I’ve known you for ages.
I know, me too. But I can assure you that I’ve not met you before in my last life.
Your last life? What are you talking about? You really are a mystical woman, I like that.

Her first kiss, her first kiss! And she’s having it with this gorgeous man.

You are special. But I don’t want to rush things. You know, that woman who gave me flowers earlier…
Your wife, right? So what is going to happen now, am I just an affair for you?
No, absolutely not. See, the thing is… she is pregnant with my child. And I have to figure out what to do. Right now I can’t leave her. But I don’t want to lose you either. Give me some days to think about it, please.
That’s alright, we will wait. Take your time. But not too much, the biological clock is ticking! We have a legacy to carry on.

Here, take these flowers. They shall remember you of my affection.

This is not what it looks like.
Hi, nice to meet you. So is she outside?
Yes, she is waiting in the car. I really hope you will be nice to her, she had a rough childhood.
I will, believe me.

Welcome to the family, Maunzi! (They suggested that name and I loved it. It’s like naming the cat after the sound it makes) One step closer to fulfilling Emma's lifetime wish…

And one step further away at the same time? No, Grim Reaper, you can’t take Kati! She is still so young and should be able to live her life a little longer! I know she is an old dog, but that doesn’t mean anything – her father is much older and still alive! NO that doesn’t mean you should take him straight away as well.

I will just wait until she returns from the stables. Hey, look, there’s a book in my pocket. Neat.

While Emma cries and cries and cries, he just keeps on reading. Then she has an idea.

Hey there, haven’t seen you for a while! It must have been six hours at least…
Bello: Uh, a horse! I like!

That’s right! Welcome, Buffy! He is a senior horse and Emma’s last step to fulfilling her lifetime wish!  And this means: She is done! She made it! I made it!

The next day Emma walks over to Felipe’s house to talk to him about what had happened. I know, we had promised to give him some time, but 24 hours better be enough for deciding.

Honey… I have to ask you something. Have you decided?
There’s my husband! I like him!

Yes, I have made up my mind. I will leave Kim.
Bitch.

This needed to be celebrated… and for the record: Emma wanted to. I wasn't too anxious about it, of course.

*walks through the kitchen funnily* I slept with the most gorgeous man in Appaloosa Plains, lalala. Oh, um, sorry. That was a bit mean, wasn’t it? Um…. Those spagetti look awesome! Do you cook often?
Bitch. I won’t talk to you.

Look, I am really sorry about what happened, but I just fell for him. Please don’t hate me.
I will look out of the window until she leaves. I am not talking to her.
Emma, I think you should go home now.

Author's notes: Lifetime wish done, phew! I was going crazy with all those little animals, I swear! And the Grim Reaper coming and taking Kati before her father just really sucked - in the attempts I made earlier, when the game crashed every five minutes, Bello always dies. Well, right now he is about 40 days over his lifespan and still alive. Unbelievable.
This is the time when I put Emma in a new game, still living in Appaloosa Plains. Those "previous life" sentences were supposed to indicate that.... Everybody is about 30 days younger than before and she had to start all over again, but at least the game is working again.
And Emma has her first love interest!! At first I was really happy because Felipe is just gorgeous and I hoped for cute babies. Then I saw Kim giving him flowers and discovered that they had the same last name (Marshall). But Emma kept wishing to be with him, so what was I supposed to do?! Anyway, now would be the time to announce the heir, but there is not an heir yet... But as she wanted to woohoo with him several times, you all can imagine what happened shortly after... and no, I am not telling. ;)
Oh, and that evening when Felipe gave Emma flowers? He didn't stop doing that until she had eight bouquets of flowers in her invisible pocket. Eight!
Chapter title: Song by Nelly Furtado that is a few years old already.

Outtakes:

This happens when you don't feed your bird. Not kidding.

Can you say: awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww?!

And again! The two cats really like each other.

She can't see me, I am practically invisible!

Aren't his pajamas just the cutest thing ever?!

Generation 3: Part 6. Goodbye my Friend

Ever since Dominica had grown up, Emma had barely interacted with her. This was something she wanted to change now – and what would be the best way to do so? That’s right, learning how to ride.
Whoa, slowly! Don’t walk so fast!
D: I haven’t moved yet.Just saying.

It wasn’t too easy and took Emma quite a while to learn how that worked. Nevertheless she had a lot of fun. Dominica had to get used to it as well, but did so more gracefully.

Hold on, something’s not right here.

But as I said, it took her quite some time to learn, but she finally did it. From that day on there was less car riding, but going out with Dominica instead. It wasn’t much faster than a car, but not much slower, either! And so much better for the environment!

One of her trips took her and Dominica to the beach, where she met some new people. Strangely they wouldn’t like whatever topic she started to talk about, but pretend to be bored to death before continuing the conversation without her. She felt a little left out, but tried not to let them notice. After all, she was the new girl in town and couldn’t make the people like her instantly.

Nobody had noticed, but time had passed by pretty quickly. Although they had just moved, Cookie’d had a lot of time to age up. And now she was at a point where the Grim Reaper would come and take her with him.

But there was not much time to mourn – a birthday was due! Kat..Arb..one of the dogs was aging up again and turned into a senior. He/she didn’t look very different than before, just added some grey spots on his/her body. (I swear, I don’t know who that is! They look the same to me!)

One pet had gone, a new one arrived! A few days ago Emma had received a call by Hetty Lionheart, the local freak woman around here (this is what she heard, not what she thought! She just sometimes acts like a cat, that’s all.) who told her that her cat had given birth to a couple of kittens and asked her if she wanted one. Emma said yes immediately and went over to choose one. This is Eddie Lionheart, a kitten with an obsession for watching butterflies… at least he didn’t try to eat them.

Having a new member in the family called for a party! Emma invited everybody she knew, including Cruz Martingale (looked up his last name), they had been doing homework together the first day in school, remember him? Like Emma, he grew up, but never got rid of his “awesome” sunglasses. Somebody should tell that guy that the lamps are not going to burn his eyes. Seriously.

The next day Emma went out with Lina to the beach again. The trip with Dominica had been really nice, but it was time to bond some more with her oldest dog, the one she had known her entire life. The dog that had known Emma for almost its entire life!

Sadly this life was going to end there and then. The Grim Reaper had a busy week and decided to take Lina out of the Sim word. Emma was crashed, as she had just gotten over losing Cookie. It was too much for her to see Lina fly directly into heaven. Goodbye, Lina...

To get over her grief, Emma invited Hetty Lionheart over to her house. It was time to say thank you for calling about the kittens – Eddie was feeling very comfortable in his new family and everybody just loved him. Hetty was thrilled to see where her little pet would grow up and came over, just to be gifted with a picture Emma had taken of Eddie, so his previous owner would never forget him. The two women soon became friends.

It was a busy night – the other small dog (:-D) and Dominica both aged up that night! Both looked just like before, but they could tell they were older now.

I swear, the Grim Reaper soon will have his own chair on the table… here he came to take a straying cat who randomly played at my house. He just gave me a heart attack!

Dominica had felt a little left out for days. Emma had spent so much time mourning about Cookie and Lina that there had been no time for riding at all. She was lonely, so she decided to check out the horse park that was right around the corner. This turned out to be a great idea – everybody there just loved animals, especially horses. This nice guy (whatever his name is) instantly went to her and started brushing her body. So nice!

Tell me again why I went home?

Birthday time again! It was time for Emma to age up into a complete grown-up. For days she had felt those little aches that were all over her body, but she didn’t think they would mean she would get older. Nevertheless she wanted a new hair style and new clothes. I think she still is really pretty. Time to get yourself a man, I want children!

Author's notes: So sad to see all those animals die! :-( Fortunately she keeps wishing for new ones, otherwise her lifetime wish would be harder to achieve. (Still, soooo much work! Honestly, never choose that lifetime wish, it is really hard!)
And time flies by, she is already an adult by now. About this time my game crashed numerous times and - as I had already announced in the last chapter - I had to start all over again in AP. So some people are a little younger than at the end of this chapter and she doesn't remember anyone, but it is the same town. I am still thinking of an explanation for that within the story, but this will be hard.
Chapter title: An amazingly sad and beautiful song we sang in school choir. I don't know who wrote it, but it is great, really. Although it's not about dying, but more about going out into the world, doing your own thing, something like that.
