Generation 3: Part 3. New Tomorrow

Something that Emma didn’t know – she was not completely alone. Sometimes, when she was already in bed and dreaming about the time in her life when she had family left, her mother would come out of her grave and support her youngest daughter in the household. There was so much to do and no way to handle it all alone. So Brianna sneaked to the animal room and fed them. If the snakes, turtles and mice could talk, they would probably have told Emma that something shiny had visited them at night, but Emma was not the new Mrs. Doolittle and couldn’t talk to animals. Too bad, this way she never found out that her mother was still there somehow.

Instead, life went on without Brianna. Lina and Bello tried their best to be good parents to their two little puppies and cared about them all day. Luckily there were two of them, otherwise they might have gotten into a fight about who gets to spend some time with their kid(s)… This way there was always one puppy free to be loved and cuddled.

Way too soon it was Arbo’s birthday already! Kati had some time left before she went to become a grown up dog. Arbo developed the size of his mother and mixture of both fur colours. Isn’t he just incredibly cute?

Unfortunately, Emma didn’t quite notice her little pet getting bigger, as she was busy thinking about the boy who had been driving her crazy in her dreams the last few weeks. Mike Kadukin, the guy from prom, had been on her mind all day and all night and every time she saw him at school, her heart started beating way faster than before. It was time to meet outside of school and find out if there was something going on between them. As far as I could tell from behind the flowers ( of course I had to hide, she was not supposed to see me there!), something was about to be going on.

You could even say Emma was falling for this guy. She didn’t know much about him, but the thought of him always made her smile. Wherever she was, whenever she thought of him, she couldn’t help but smile and feel happy. Finally one thing was going good in her life. Sometimes, when she expected it the least, Mike would call her and they would talk on the phone for ages, just enjoying themselves and realizing how much they actually had in common. This guy had real boyfriend potential! She was not the only one who thought like this – she had to find out that he also was dating somebody else and that he was in a relationship with this girl! She was crushed. How could he do this to her? She thought they were meant for each other and all this time he had been playing with her?!

When she met her sister Daisy in the park, she tried to tell her how she was feeling and that she didn’t know what to do now. She had expected her sister to hug her and tell her that everything was going to be alright, but Daisy couldn’t care less about Emma being lovesick! She had started her own life with her aunt and made Emma responsible for their mother not caring about her. Yes, this is ridiculous, go ahead and tell her! But she refused to accept that it was just the way Brianna was and that it had been better for her to move out. Instead she teamed up with her aunt and told Emma not to contact them again. They were a happy family now and didn’t want that to be destroyed.
Emma couldn’t believe it. Her family was kicking her out. The two persons on Sim-Earth she still had were telling her to leave and never come back! This was too much to take. And so she made a momentous decision. She and the pets, they would move. They would leave and not come back to this place.

Author's notes: Like I said before, I had major playing issues and the only way I could save the family was starting a new game with a copy from the bin in a new neighborhood - so I moved them to Appaloosa Plains, which is the new neighborhood coming with Pets. Cella and Daisy obviously had to be left behind, so it fitted that Daisy and Emma constantly got into fights when they met each other.
So here the final (and short) chapter in Sunset Valley, next chapter will start in Appaloosa Plains.
Chapter title: Denmark's song on the Eurovision Song Contest this year (a competition of all European countries, every country contributes one song and the winner's country is host of the next year. This year it actually was in Germany)

  1. I thought from your hints you were going to move Emma and the pets. That sucks but hopefully they will settle in well in Appaloosa Plains. The Flynns move fixed their romantic glitches so hopefully yours will get fixed as well :)

  2. Well, so far it's working and I've played there for about a week now. Probably the town was bugged or something, I don't know...
Maybe I will get the next chapter out today or early tomorrow, because I won't have time after that for a couple of days. I'll see. :)

  3. Poor Emma! I can see how Daisy would feel that way, though!

I hope the move solves all of your issues. I can't wait to see the new neighborhood.

Nice to see Brianna helping out, too.

  4. It definitely is a pretty neighborhood! This is the first time I have ever seen it (because I only played my Legacy Family for ages) and it is really nice. And there are so many animals! :)
