Generation 1: Part 1, Welcome to Sunset Valley!

Meet the founders of my current story!

This beauty right here is Sunny. She is a nice girl who wants to find a lot of friends in Sunset Valley (precisely: 20 friends). When people first approach her, they often think she is some sort of celebrity, but in fact she is not! She is much more the girl everybody would love to have as a friend - reliable, honest and sweet.
In addition to her looks, she manages to stun people by her character, which looks like this:

  • Good Cook
  • Charismatic
  • Friendly
  • Virtuoso
  • Good Sense of Humor

She will definitely win the Sims' hearts in no time!

Her roommate (if you can call it like that... it is more of a house they share) is this young lady called Chrissi. You may not notice, but she loves purple (just like Sunny by the way, but Sunny is not making it THAT obvious). Chrissi is not somebody who goes out and meets new people right away; instead she loves to stay inside with a good book (preferably one she has written herself) or paint. It does not matter that she really sucks at painting; all she wants to do is to master the painting and writing skills.
Due to her lack of talent in the arts (maybe except singing in the shower, but that does not really count, does it?), her character looks like this:

  • Loner
  • Bookworm
  • Good Sense of Humor
  • Chaotic
  • Excitable

Let us see where that takes her!

So here we are: A really small house in the middle of Sunset Valley. They surely had been thinking about one that is bigger than other people's bathrooms, but this was all they could afford. Never mind. In no time, they will have made a lot of money and then be able to stock up on their furniture.

This is it. The inside. I know - it is even smaller than it looked from the outside. But it contains everything they need for now (for now! This may change within a few hours), so it is just fine. Right behind the entrance we have the living room/kitchen/dining room, followed by a little bathroom on the right. In the back there is Sunny's room (left) and Chrissi's room (right). Yes, I know, the right one is a little bigger than the left one - that doesn't mean I prefer Chrissi, it is just the way the house was built! Everything else would have mixed up the entire structure with the two doors and everything. So we will keep it like this.

Did I mention that Sunny is charismatic? After a few moments of being in shock ("WTF... are you kidding? This house is a nutshell!" "Yes, I know, sorry. We've been through that..."), Chrissi starts running towards the only bookshelf in the house, which is in Sunny's room. But right before she gets there and stretches her arm to fetch one of the enormously thick books in there, she gets stopped by Sunny who wants to talk. Now. No time for waiting. So they talk and talk, get to know each other a little. After a short while they discover their shared trait, which is their good sense of humor. Now, this is going to be fun...

Conversation over, apparently. Sunny walks over to watch some TV while Chrissi decides to play some computer games. Alright guys, that's enough. Let's just get you a job...what do you want to do? You are completely free to choose anything. Yes, anything. No, I am not jok...are you kidding?? Stylist and Investigator?

*slowly calms down* You can still think it through. Don't you want to take a job that is less...extravagant? No? Really? Well... off you go.

Yay, both of them got their dream job. Sunny will start working as a stylist the next day, while Chrissi from now on is going to run around with leaves in front of her body, in order to be invisible. Works out great in bigger cities. No, not being sarcastic at all, I swear. Really! Alright, maybe a little. And theeeere we go, Chrissi's first job - she is supposed to talk to a man named Gobias Koffi about something. Her employer didn't exactly say what he wants her to talk about, but we will just improvise.

In the meantime, Sunny decided to take guitar lessons. As she wants to find as many friends as possible, she has to start somewhere, right? And there is nothing better than music to break the ice. Well, unless she sounds like she is trying to kill the guitar. So, she walks over to learn the first few songs. I have to say - it is not really good yet. But never mind, she will get better in time. (This sentence does not conclude from the look she just shot me) And one of the reasons for her go to the theater was to meet cute musicians anyway, she confidentially tells me later. Well, look who I found! Stiles McGraw is walking around and is immediately stunned by her beauty, so they start talking and getting to know each other. Somehow he must have gotten her wrong - her favourite colour is purple, not yellow! Well, the flowers are nice anyway. And the situation distracts me from the giant picture of Hank Goddard and Pauline Wan in the background (WTF?! I have never seen that before!)

Back at home (after a painting class which Chrissi spontaneously attended and only almost got kicked out for being absolutely incompetent), finally some more talking takes place. Apparently, Chrissi really needs somebody to talk about her weird job - she talked to Gobias Koffi about random stuff and all of a sudden he told her to hack into any computer, in order to discover mysterious things. Gee, they really are experts in undercover - they do so much undercover talking that I BET they have no idea what they are talking about in the first place. Never mind. Tomorrow, Chrissi will sit on the computer, trying to figure out what she could possibly discover.

After an exciting first day in Sunset Valley, the girls each eat one of the Hotdogs Chrissi made for dinner (she didn't set the kitchen on fire! Yay!!!) and then walk off to bed. Good night, sleep tight, hope the bed bugs don't bite.

  2. Thanks for your comment :)
I am reaaally curious about that, too. Both of them are really sweet, but I guess as Sunny is more open to people, she has a better chance. Who knows. I will play some more tonight, maybe somebody comes up...
