Generation 1: Part 11. Moving&moving on?

A little time had passed since friendly and artistic Brianna had been born into the household. Both parents as well as the bigger siblings were extremely happy and always playing with the new baby. But this wasn’t the only surprise coming in – as Chrissi had already suspected, Sunny was pregnant with her second child! They didn’t know yet whether it was a boy or a girl, but once they had gotten over the fact that life as they knew it was over, they were really happy too. Just like Chrissi, who they asked to be godmother to the unborn child!

Everybody was thrilled. Even little Arvid couldn’t help but hug Sunny and tell her how happy he was for her. And asked if he could pick the name. Sunny said she’d think about it (very polite.)…

It was obvious that Arvid considered Sunny to be a part of his family, like some sort of not-directly-related-aunt. His relationship with her was almost better than the one he had with his mother and he even asked her to read a bedtime story to him! Awww.

While Arvid was making new friends, Tammie was as well. As soon as she had her first boyfriend, she all of a sudden was way more popular in school and soon found herself hanging out with Marianne, a girl her age. Although it seemed like they were having a blast, she had to discover that Marianne tended to be a bit…difficult sometimes. Not only because she asked Tammie for money the second she walked in.

Luckily there wasn’t much time to talk about their character traits, as it was time for Brianna’s first birthday! Because it came sooner than they expected, there was no time to plan a party. But Brianna seemed happy with just a few people around her. Chrissi helped her blowing out the candles, wishing her all the best.

She aged up into one of the cutest toddlers I have ever seen, having her dad's eyes and hair.

There was something that Chrissi had hidden all the time – it was her birthday, too! She didn’t want to age up, fearing that she would look just as old as she felt. But she didn’t have a choice, so she swallowed her concerns and blew out her candles. This time even Marianne bothered to leave Tammie’s bedroom and at least pretended to be interested.

Well, not so bad! Her dress still fitted her and all she did was cut her hair a little. This was one small change, another big one coming up – the house had become way too small for the five of them. And as Chrissi still sometimes thought about having another child, she had been looking for a house in the last weeks! Now she got the confirmation call that the house she chose was empty at last which meant they could move in immediately!

They instantly felt like home, only a few hours after they had moved in. As it had been night when their cab started in front of the old house, the next morning was the first time that they could really see their new home. It was way bigger than the old one, had three floors, a huge living room and five bedrooms! On their first shared breakfast the family discussed that this had been a good idea.

Which was followed by another good idea – makeover time! Chrissi didn’t quite like the hairstyle she had gotten, so she went and got her hair cut even more. In addition to some new clothes it was a whole new person!

Just like Tammie, who really was sick of her complicated hairstyle she had since prom. And the clothes she was wearing didn’t seem feminine enough for her. So this is what she looks like now!

Jeffry Hart-Landgraab (her boyfriend, whose last name I have finally looked up; he is the son of Dorie Hart and Malcolm Landgraab) loved it as well. Again and again he ensured her how beautiful she was and that he would never let her go. She knew he was the right guy for her, so when he asked her  to move in with him, she only hesitated for a moment.  She had a last look at the house – goodbye, old life. Hello, new world!

With her stepdaughter surprisingly having moved out, Chrissi totally focused on teaching Brianna the basics for life. Like walking and speaking. Her first word was “heart transplantation”. Um….

She also taught her some basics on the little xylophone they got her. It was amazingly sweet how mother and daughter played together, Chrissi sometimes humming melodies Brianna was supposed to repeat. (And it is amazing how much Chrissi really is like me, since I didn’t even give her the virtuoso-trait!)

As Chrissi was focused on Brianna, Stiles hung out more with Arvid, so he wouldn’t feel left out. As he was an elder now, he sometimes acted a little strange – like pinching Arvid’s cheek because of some weird reason only he knows. Arvid mostly was amused. Yes, his father was old, but he loved him so much.

Being busy with the kids all day, Chrissi and Stiles decided to have some time off. In shifts, of course – first Stiles went out to have dinner - as soon as he returned, Chrissi left. And guess who she ran into. I swear, that guy is everywhere!

It is hard to believe, but after a few words they immediately started flirting again. This time, Cycl0n3 accepted every romantic interaction coming from Chrissi, just like she liked what he did and said.

Well done!! The moment Cycl0n3 kissed Chrissi, his wife Emma Hatch-Sw0rd came out of the restaurant, screaming and swearing. I guess somebody will go and see a marriage counselor soon… if they want to save their marriage at all. Chrisis wasn’t too disturbed by Emma’s appearance and just responded to that kiss. She couldn’t help – she was in love with him.

Author's notes: So. The family has moved to the house that once belonged to Jared and Connor Frio! And the minute they had arrived at their new home, their former neighbours moved into their house. Weird... Anyhow, next chapter there will be a few pictures. And I know that I am somehow working against that whole legacy-concept - but I really, really suck at building houses and decided that I let them move this one time. In addition, this was one of Chrissi's wishes in her midlife crisis....
This whole Cycl0n3-thing is really killing me. Now his wife knows, which totally sucks. I didn't see her there when they started flirting! Apparently she had been in the restaurant and came out the second Cycl0n3 kissed Chrissi. Now there is a much bigger chance that Stiles finds out... that would be really bad. She still doesn't roll any wishes to talk to him, but runs to him autonomously the second her previous action is finished. And she ALWAYS flirts with him, tries to kiss him... I don't know how long this will go on.
Oh, and since you might have read that little indication - Chrissi wants another baby! They will have to wait until Brianna is a kid, but then there might be another kid...especially since they now are only four people in the big house. (Another explanation: Tammie wished to move in with Jeffry. As I didn't know teenagers could feel that way, I was a little confused, but then let her move in with the Hart-Landgraabs)

  1. If you're playing with wishacy rules it's perfectly okay to move house whenever you like :) And nice choice with the house, I love the Frio house.
Brianna is adorable! Can't wait to see how she ages up :)

  2. I really like it,too. (And, to be honest, most of the other houses were taken already. So there was a limited choice...)
You are right, she is sooo gorgeous! I am really excited to see how she looks as a kid, which should be pretty soon! I guess it will be in the next chapter already.

  3. Haha! You can move the townies, I think, in Edit Town mode. I haven't before, but if there was a specific house I wanted, I totally would.

  4. That's a good idea, thank for the tip!

  5. That Cycl0n3 is nothing but trouble! Brianna is adorable, though.

I moved my heir once already and I might do it again... I'm terrible at building houses, too. I figured it followed the spirit of the legacy, if not the actual rules... my sims would be very unhappy in whatever messed up house I built them!

Can't wait to see what happens next!

  6. That is a really good reason! I honestly try to be creative, but just don't manage to build nice houses. And the most important thing is that the sims are happy, you are right.

  7. I thought there were only two bedrooms in the Frio house! That's why I moved Susie and Connor way back in the beginning. Maybe it was a different house by this point!

    Brianna's first word was AWESOME.

This thing with Cycl0n3 is really alarming, but I think you have to roll with it. It certainly makes things interesting. But wow. I don't know how things could possibly go well with Stiles...

You're not running a strict Wishacy, right? I think you said you're still pushing the characters sometimes. I try to give my characters most of their wishes, but I push them sometimes when their wishes are not fun or taking them in a random direction.

At any rate, if you aren't playing a strict Wishacy, you can direct Chrissi to work on her relationship with Stiles if he accuses her of cheating, even if she doesn't wish it. I like that idea better than not letting her go after Cycl0n3!

  8. Yes,there were only two bedrooms, I built a third floor (which looks ridiculous, of course, as I just suck at building houses)so that there was enough space.

No, I am not strictly playing after their wishes and letting them act completely like they want to. I try to, but as I am a control freak sometimes, it's really hard to let that go at all times. I wasn't so sure whether I wanted her to work on her relationship on her own,so I sometimes just waited. Although I am pretty sick of Cycl0n3 by now...
