Everybody was confused about Rolando not wanting to marry Brianna, but nobody was sadder than the poor bride herself. She had thought he loved her with all his heart and now he just left her at the altar? Something had to be going on with him, maybe he just had a really bad day. But even that didn’t explain why he just went home during the ceremony. For hours she sat at the piano, played the few chords she knew and kept thinking about why he could possibly have refused her!
She stayed up until the sun rose and went to bed completely exhausted. Her poor daughter Daisy who couldn’t understand what had happened the previous night, had to sleep on the ground because her mother was too depressed to even think about her. As soon as she woke up again she decided to play with her brand new xylophone Cella had bought her. This way she could keep herself from noticing her growling stomach. It took hours until someone came to feed her. And again it was Cella, her aunt. Not her mother who was still asleep.
The first thought Brianna had after waking up was that they had to try again. She put on her wedding dress, did her hair the way she had it the day before and called Rolando over. When he arrived he told her he was so sorry about what had happened, but that he’d just had a really bad day and accidentally took it out on her. She accepted his apology, relieved that he did love her. Before one of them could change their mind they called everybody who had been there to celebrate their marriage ceremony the first time and told them that it was going to happen now.
The ceremony was beautiful – just like Brianna had imagined it for weeks. There was no one who didn’t shed a tear or two when looking at the happy couple. They were right for each other and finally they were together forever.
This evening really was special. Not only did Rolando move into the house, but there was a birthday happening! Without anybody noticing Daisy aged up into a cute kid who couldn’t help but love all animals that crawled upon the earth. Maybe pets would be more reliable than her own mother, who had even forgotten about her birthday.
B: Honey, your father moving in is a huge deal! It means a lot to me and it should mean a lot to you, too!
D: Will be be there for me?
B: Of course he will, he is your father! He will be there for you just like I am.
D: *sigh* Mom, I want a pet.
The next day everything that Rolando owned was delivered to his new home. But when the movers asked him where they were supposed to put all the furniture, they didn’t get an answer, because he couldn’t keep his hands off his beautiful wife. They were all over each other and already planning their wedding night (as the party had lasted until the early morning and afterwards they were too tired to do anything)! Rolando still couldn’t believe that they finally had gotten married – after all these years of dating and never getting anywhere.
Now they were definitely getting somewhere. They couldn’t even wait until it was dark outside, they just made sure that Daisy and Cella were not in the house so they could have their postponed wedding night.
They were such a cute couple! This is what everybody thought, no matter where they went. When they heard that there had been a dog park built right around the corner, they just managed to look around for a few seconds before they continued making out right there. At least this was a very romantic spot, with the fountain and all.
That Rolando had moved in didn’t change anything for Daisy. Still Cella was the one to read her bedtime stories (while her mother already went to sleep and Rolando was busy reading or playing computer games), still Cella was the one to make her breakfast, to ask how her day had been, to help her with her homework. But despite that Daisy loved her mother and desperately wanted a good relationship with her. And she wanted to get to know her father - they barely talked at all which was something she wanted to change!
He wanted to change that as well. But choosing to pinch her cheek and tell her how big she had already gotten was not a good way of start a conversation with his only daughter. Daisy was freaked out and pushed him away. Would they ever get along well?
Rolando tried. He tried so hard. He just wasn't used to children! And after his attempt of talking had failed, he tried it with ice-cream. He went to the ice-cream seller who was just passing the house and bought a bunny-shaped delicacy. Hopefully she would like it. And hopefully she would not tell her mother that her father was getting her ice-cream for breakfast………
Author's notes: Finally I did it! I tried to get them married four (!) times, but each time he would just shake his head and walk straight home while the disappointed guests would stay and celebrate without him. Poor Brianna... but finally I had the great idea of having a look at the Story Progression Mod and discovered that I had the "get married to employees" option turned off. So I turned it on and tried again the next day - and it worked! :) So now they are married and happy. The only one not happy is Daisy who is constantly being left out. But I may tell you - she will not be alone for a long time!
Sorry the new chapter took me this long, university was so demanding the first week that I didn't get anything done. But now I have play some hours and am able to write a few more chapters before I will have to take the next "break"...!
Poor Daisy! I feel so bad for how lonely she seems.
AntwortenLöschenThat said... Pets! I can't wait to see what that's like.
I'm glad that you figured out what Rolando's problem was so that they could finally get married.
Hopefully if Daisy gets a pet she will not be so lonely! I'm so glad they could finally get married :)
AntwortenLöschenYes, I bought pets :D Couldn't wait for the little dogs and cats to come to my house. For a few days I struggled because no animal would appear ANYWHERE in my neighborhood, but it got better. And you will see how the family changed once it got bigger.
AntwortenLöschenSo all the trouble with Rolando was because of a Story Progression mod setting? Argh! I'll have to look out for that one.
AntwortenLöschenDaisy is breaking my heart.
