Generation 2: Part 7. Till Death do us part

It was weird, but during Brianna’s second pregnancy she and Rolando really felt what it was like to be parents and they did their best to fulfil what was expected of them. ……… Only did they switch from not-caring about their child to caring about their only BABY DOG. Guys, somehow you got the whole concept wrong…

Don’t you think you should be hugging your daughter instead? No? Well, go on then…. It surely was a good idea to get another kid. Maybe you should get another pet, too? So your new kid has some company, too? 

And it got even worse! Not only did Rolando spend his complete free time on Lina, he even hit on his sister-in-law! And Cella, usually the personification of “shyness”, responded to that. Poor Daisy who had to witness all of that. Rolando, do you have any idea what you are doing to your kid? 

 

I’m sorry, I should say KIDS. Before anyone was ready for it, Brianna surprisingly went into labour! There wasn’t even enough time to drive her to the hospital, so she just had to have her baby at home.

A beautiful daughter they named Emma.

Emma’s birth meant nothing. It’s sad to say, but still the only thing Brianna and Rolando cared about was their lives and the music they were making. Soon they were asked to perform in the pub they had played some time ago, which technically was a great thing. But not with a newborn baby at home. But there was no way even one of them would stay home, instead they called a babysitter and went out to have fun.

As soon as they got back, they went to sleep. The called babysitter (who apparently planned on going to a party herself after the job was done) tried to hand Emma to her parents, but there was not the slightest chance that they would take her. So she didn’t have a choice but stayed for a few more hours, feeding and playing with Emma, before she finally went home. This was certainly not what a happy family should look like!

Soon Emma aged up into a cute toddler. And guess who was there to witness and celebrate – that’s right, no one. Rolando took her out of her little bed, but then didn’t even bother to stay and watch his little girl grow up. So all she could do was sit in her parents’ bedroom and smile, as if everything was alright. Even though it wasn’t. Everybody else was busy with their own lives.

Which brought up another birthday! Brianna had tried to hide her getting older from the rest of the family (which for her basically consisted of her husband) for quite some time, but now it was obvious to see. She was getting old. And it was time to choose an heir to carry on the burden she had been given by her mother many moons ago.

But before she had a chance to think about it, something terrible happened. Rolando had gotten older as well. And now it was time for him to take the next step in life, which meant death.

While Brianna, Cella and Daisy were watching the terrible scene, Emma hid in her and Daisy’s room. She had heard something strange from outside that really scared her. So she went inside and closed the door until the danger was over. Little did she know that her father didn’t get a chance to see his little girl grow up any more.

Author's notes: Phew, I fixed it! After taking out all the downloads and mods, my game started working again. I am really glad about that, although everybody looks different right now ;) I will try and put the downloads back in piece by piece to find out where the problem came from exactly.

And isn't it sad that Rolando died? This is the second time that a sim died exactly on the end of his lifespan! Now he couldn't see his daughter(s) age up.. not that he would have cared much. But still. Next post probably will be heir vote!
