Generation 1: Part 17. Life goes on

Prom time! One day before the big day, Brianna got a call from Cella’s previous babysitter Rolando who invited her to prom! Wow, how exciting – all they did before was talking and having fun, and now all of a sudden he invited her on a date. She had to look more beautiful than ever to impress him on that evening. Apparently it worked, as he asked her to be his girlfriend right after they shared their first kiss behind the buffet. Wow, her first boyfriend!

In the meantime, Chrissi invited a friend from work over to work on their relationship. She really wanted to find new friends –as Stiles dying had caused a big hole in her body - and that guy named Sammy Hatch-Sw0rd (weird name… almost as if she had heard it before many years ago… a distant memory of a small child sitting in the floor while she is kissing the man who had driven her crazy for a long time…) seemed like the right person to start with. He was funny and didn’t see her as a potential threat in journalism, which was something she really didn’t want to be – she just loved writing and wanted to be a part of that newspaper, that was all. She didn’t care about how big that part was. Well, before they came to being friends, something unexpected happened.

Chrissi’s birthday! Out in the garden she aged up into an elder, without anybody knowing about it. Sure, she had felt signs of getting older in the last few days but she really had forgotten about her birthday. Her almost-friend celebrated with her though, so that she wasn’t completely alone. Was this a sign that she was meant to be separated from her family, meant to be alone? Or was it just a coincidence that she was still outside when she aged?

Either way the result wasn’t too bad, really! She decided that she didn’t want to walk around in brown clothes, trying to be as invisible as possible –instead she wanted to make a statement! Elders can look great, too! Widows can look great, too! They shouldn’t walk around like they had no reason to live. She had three incredibly great reasons to live.

Apparently, it was this time of the year – another birthday was about to happen, this time they didn’t forget about it and bought little Cella a birthday cake. She didn’t want a party, as she was a rather shy girl who didn’t make many friends anyway. A party with only two or three persons wouldn’t be something she wanted.

So she shyly aged up into a beautiful teenager who was really uncomfortable around strangers. Whenever one or Arvid’s or Brianna’s friends came along, she went somewhere else, not wanting to talk to them. Wow, that really was a shy girl. Still, she was sweet.

And she really was musical! Now that she finally was big enough to reach the piano, she didn’t stop playing for hours. Everybody else listened to her, fascinated and touched. When she played the songs she composed on her own, there were so many emotions wandering through the room! Emotions that reminded everybody of Stiles.

While Cella was becoming instant friends with the piano, Brianna preferred meeting real persons. Like Dexter Bluesky, Sunny’s second son. After her relationship with Rolando didn’t really work out and they decided to just stay best friends, she tried meeting boys she didn’t know yet and maybe develop romantic feelings. Dexter seemed like a good start – he was sort of good looking, funny and pretty nice to her. But after a few hours of TV she had to realize that they would never be more than friends - even accidentally putting her arm around him didn’t cause any reaction - and went home. Enough maybe-flirting for one day…

So many things had happened. So many things that Chrissi couldn’t cope with them by simply thinking about them. They had to come out eventually – as another book. After her first three books “Teddy abroad”, “Teddy at school” and “Teddy in the zoo” were all books written for children, she now tried her first books for grown-ups, in which she let her main character experience what she had been through. And it really helped her! (Needless to say that this book was a bestseller)

Everybody coped with their loss in their own way. Arvid had already tried once to flirt with another woman in order to forget the pain for a minute. Whenever he had some free time at his hands, he tried again. Here he is having a “business meeting” with Sonja Koffi, who was definitely interested in him. He didn’t like her that much but needed the feeling of someone being attracted to him. Well,maybe he just permanently was in a flirty mood.

Unlike Norman Hatch-Hart, who came over after school one day to hang out with Cella (yes, Cella! Not Brianna!), but then decided to have fun with Chrissi instead. He talked to her for hours, joking around, complimenting her on her books, talking about interests. Cella didn’t get mad at him, although she really should have been, but instead she was sad, went to her room and read a book. Sitting there she realized that she didn’t want her life to be like this – just waiting for everything to happen. She needed to take control over her life. And so she shut her book, went upstairs and started talking to Norman. Within a few hours, she had discovered that this really had been the right decision – he was an awesome guy! She could already imagine how her wedding dress would look like….

But before that ceremony could happen, another one was about to begin – Brianna was finished with high school and about to age up into a young adult! She sure was excited – real life was finally starting. Little did she know that the number of wrinkles and her need to get a job weren’t the only big changes that were about to happen…

The first decision: what should she wear her hair like? It was so hard to decide. Wavy, like her mother?

Or wavy, yet in a pigtail? The burdens of being an adult…

Fortunately, the day that she officially finished school and was given her diploma didn’t make her worry about her style, as she was given a cap to wear. Somehow she managed to exchange the classical one for this funny version with ears… no idea how she did that.

As soon as the ceremony was over, Cella ran away to – please note the enthusiasm – her first date!!!! Finally she had called Norman and asked him to meet her in the park. For a little talking, have some fun… She obviously wasn’t used to the whole dating-thing, as she pulled him over behind a fence to talk to him. Sweet? As soon as she was home after her first date (that DIDN’T include her first kiss, as Norman all of a sudden realized he had to go to work…..), she had to talk to Brianna about it. The girls didn’t talk very often, but Cella felt like she had to trust Brianna when it came to boys (not that Brianna had that much experience, but every piece of experience she had was more than Cella had, so she didn’t have a choice. Brianna smiled when Cella told her about Norman and told her to calm down a little. She was absolutely positive that he would call her.

That night Brianna couldn’t sleep. School was finally over. She had aged up. She had decided which hairstyle she would wear - quite short. She had received a very interesting phone call from her so-called boyfriend Rolando, who had told everybody they were just really good friends when he talked about her. She had almost gotten over that, but then all of a sudden he called her and begged for another chance. There was no way she could resist that sweet voice and she finally gave in. Relationship number one, second take.

Speaking of which, the next day Chrissi once again ran into still happily married Cycl0n3, who was hanging out in the park (where he almost seemed to live as he always was there!). Chrissi noticed that he was looking older and somehow weaker than he did the weeks and months before, but she just thought that he was really getting old and that it was nothing special. Nothing to worry about.

This is the last picture of Cylc0n3. He died only hours later, in the middle of the night. Rest in Peace – although you almost broke up a great family, I somehow liked you in the end.

Author's Notes: Wow,everybody is aging! We had three birthdays in a row, that was almost creepy. Although everybody turned out beautifully. 

And Cycl0n3 died.... that was really sad. I received that note saying that he will die soon and that my sims should go and meet him a last time, still it is sad to see him go - somehow I really grew to like him. (And now I have to look for another bandmember again,that sucks... Sunny had just filled in for Stiles and now Cycl0n's chair is empty...)

Oh and I really, really, really decided who is going to be heir now. A little hint can be found in the text.

Aaaand I think Chrissi will reach her lifetime wish soon! Finally!!! I thought it would never happen... by then I will have a solution for the labels, the chapter titles and all the other stuff.
I know the notes seem to keep on forever this time, but: that whole friendship between Chrissi and Sammy? Weird, as he really is Cycl0n3's first son. I didn't notice for quite some time, but eventually found out because of his last name. 
Last thing: The relationship between Brianna and Rolando - he asked her to go steady on prom.After that she was shown to be his best friend in the relationship bar, but called his girlfriend when you run the mouse over his picture in her relation ship bar and this extra windows pops up. Do you know what I'm talking about? The window where you can see the traits she found out about, his job, his relationship... Anyway, two days later they were just best friends again and they were both listed as singles. The secons she aged up she had that "in love for the first time" moodlet and he is her boyfriend now. Not weird at all........
